The AIEF Mentor Program aims to create a structured and trusting relationship with an experienced, professional individual who shares knowledge and offers instructive guidance and support about life and career options.The Mentor program is offered to students attending boarding school at any of our partner schools who are currently receiving an AIEF scholarship.

Training Process of Mentors Potential mentors attend two training sessions around the role of a mentor and mentoring strategies, as well as the expectations of the program.
Mentor Screening: Yes, screening is provided for mentors
Screening Process of Mentors: Our mentors are sourced from AIEF's corporate partners, they must be current employees when they apply. Mentors then undergo Working With Children Checks, police verification, an interview and a Personality Test to ensure they are a suitable candidate.
Mentor Position Description: The AIEF Mentor Program provides a supportive adult with no set agenda other than to sit and listen to students, offer opinions, share knowledge about the workforce and help them see their immediate decisions in the context of a long future.
Mentor Minimum Commitment: 12 months
