The Australian Indigenous Kickstart is a high impact mentoring program design to transition Indigenous Job seekers aged 15-30 years into further educational and/or employment. The program will provide intensive mentoring experience, pre-education and employment support to transition effortlessly Job seeker into further education and/or employment.
The new service has a strong focus on helping young Indigenous people to understand and prepare for what will be expected in the schools, workplace, university and TAFE institutions. It will also focus heavy on developing skills and behaviours that potential employers and/or educational institutions require.

Training Process of Mentors two intensive mentoring training days before hitting the program with mentee's
Mentor Screening: Yes, screening is provided for mentors
Screening Process of Mentors: Info and open day- followed by interview process. National criminal history record check and Working with children check.
Mentor Position Description: Provide intensive and appropriate mentoring support services to Indigenous youth job seekers.
Assist individual job seekers with job search, job placement and post job placement
Identify the most appropriate support services for individual job seekers.
Develop and maintain appropriate mentoring relationship with individual indigenous youth job seeker.
Mentor Minimum Commitment: the program run 4 1/2 with 6x program days and 4 1/2 hrs of one-on-one mentoring.
Our program minimum commitment is 2 program days and 1 1/2 hrs of one-on-one mentoring.
