LAP has been established to provide individual support and care for students of all ages
with varied learning and emotional needs, through the positive participation of mentors.

LAP has always been about providing one-to-one time for students and the opportunity to honour the valuable contribution of our mentors.

LAP is in many schools in South Australia, NSW and Victoria, WA and also in some International Schools in Europe.

The Association was established in 1994 but LAP has been in South Australian schools for over 40 years.

It is an economical programme, being run almost entirely by volunteers and membership to the Association starts at $70 per year.

For this we provide resources, discounted professional development sessions, workshops and meetings. We also provide personal support for those wanting to set up a programme, via phone, email or in person. There are also opportunities to visit LAP accredited schools throughout South Australia. We send out a Newsletter three times per year.

LAP is ALWAYS one-to-one, it is about relationships, building confidence and self-esteem, taking a creative approach to learning, and promotes parent and community participation in schools.
