LifeCare Coach: LifeCare Coach helps recruit coaches (mentors) through local networks, trains them (4 evenings), puts them in touch with families be coachees (beneficiaries), and then reviews progress with each coach-coachee pair every month (a typical monthly support evening comprises a meal together, group supervision and workshop training by an experienced community leader or professional expert). As role models, coaches build a sustained relationship with the beneficiary, offer practical help and coach towards life goals. This involves a commitment of 1-3 hours per week for a minimum of twelve months. Families are assessed to be in economic, social, educational and/or spiritual need.
